One-Touch Buttons

Besides the LCD touchscreen, the eXpressive 850 also offers convenient one-touch buttons: start stop button, reverse button, auto-lock button, needle up down button, thread cutter button, and a speed control slider. Embroidery

Customize your embroidery as much as you desire with all the editing features loaded into the eXpressive 850. Resize, combine, duplicate, flip, arc, group, drag & drop, zoom, trace, and pick your colors. This machine also allows you to program jump thread trimming and has flexible stitch traveling by units of 1, 10, and 100. These keys are useful to move the embroidery hoop to where the thread has broken or run out.

Free-Arm

The extension table provides an expansive sewing area but can be removed for free arm sewing of cylindrical items. Remove the bed of the machine to access this feature, and start stitching sleeves, waistbands, pant legs, etc. It is also convenient for darning socks or elbows.

When sewing, smoothly stitch at rates of 1000 SPM with a maximum stitch width of 9mm and a maximum stitch length of 5 mm. After switching over to embroidery mode, you will find that you can embroider at up to 800 SPM in a maximum embroidery area of 170 x 200 mm.

The Elna eXpressive 850 has a 7-piece feed dog system that ensures a consistent, uniform feed on each and every fabric type. Whether the material is thick or thin, the 7-piece feed dog will stay in constant contact with the fabric, warranting even feeding and clean stitches. Need to lower the feed dogs? Simply flip a switch on the back of your machine. The feed dog position will be visibly shown on the LCD touch screen.
